If Na,- 3 ' Pai-avi Under the direction of FATHER JOHN MYHAN, O.P., M.A. Principal Dear Students: His Holiness, Pope Pius XII, has said: No educational method, be it based on some particular tradition or development by modern science, can give perfect and lasting results if it disagrees with Christian prin- ciples, or scorns their values, or fails to use true Christian means, includ- ing supernatural ones. lt is for this reason that the American Catholic Hierarchy has established, with the generous cooperation of the faith- ful, a system of education which singularly cares for the spiritual, in- tellectual, and physical needs of Catholic youth. Three years ago His Eminence, Cardinal Mclntyre, founded St. John Vianney High School as a part of that educational system. The faculty, students, and friends of St. John Vianney High look with pride on the accomplishments of the past and plan with confidence for the future. To the Seniors of l957, our first graduating class, we extend every sincere wish for success in future years. May Our Lord Whom you have learned to serve bless you each day of your lives.
