Well Always Remember As we the Seniors of 1949 take leave of Dear Old Dyer High School, we shall treasure long, the memories, fun, and hardships that occurred within the four short years that were spent here. And now as we reminiscently tuck away these remembrances in this volume of the ECHO, we regret the fact that our time to spend within these walls is slowly but deliberately fading out. In an attempt to keep these memories forever within our reach, we are making a record of them, so that they may be occasionally looked back upon- Dedication F Mrs. Hoffman When we were forced to change horses in the middle of the stream, we were fortunate in having Mrs. Hoffman assigned as our new Sponsor. She filled Mr. Jack's shoes perfectly and has led us through the remainder of our years at Dyer. Although she has made us do many things we were not too fond of, she made us toe the mark, and now that graduation time draws near, we regret that we shall soon take leave of her. But this closing thought just fits her to a t . She maae us what we are today, through our three years of work and play. Mr. Jack As poor, little innocent Freshmen, we were ushered into the monstrous building of Dyer High School and started our high school education plan. The first thing on our list was a sponsor, and we were lucky enough to be appointed to Mr. Jack. Mr. Jack, being the fatherly type that he was, very quickly and easily taught us the do's and don't of the Freshmen, along with our everyday Biology lessons of course. • • FoTtVCLtd • j ithin these walls that we know so well, That though the faculty has taught us much, It wasn't completely study and such. We've had our classes as well as fun. And now, as Seniors, we re sorry it s done. s we march on to life's highway We'll need a spirit brave and gay. We'll need the knowledge we gained here, To face life's problems without fear. So here's to those who helped us through As we, the Seniors, say Adieu . CHARLES G.
