THE VERY REV. ANTHONY W. POLINI, O. PRAEM. Bishop Neumann is not the same place it was four years ago. The entire rostering system has been completely turned over. The Counselling System has been reiuvenated. A new chemistry and biology lab have been installed. The hair and dress code has been modified. Change has oc- curredg the school has kept pace with the times. It is more than just coincidence that Father Polini has been principal during these four years of change. He was instrumental in running the ADMINISTRATION Saturday night dance when he was a teacher at Southeast. He is a man who is not afraid of change. This year he is seeing his initial class complete their four years. The Class of i71 has been a witness to what a dynamic personality can accomplish. When a school does not change, it falters. Father Polini, dedicated to the students of Bishop Neumann, will not let the school falter. Assisting the principal in the general control and opera- tion of the entire school program is the function of Rev. John J. Cox, 0. Praem., Vice-Principal. The scholastic welfare of Neumann students is effici- ently handled by Mr. Frank J. Baldassarre, Academic Vice-Principal.

Coordinating all school activities and evaluat- ing all educational departments are just a few of the roles of the Administration of Bishop Neu- mann. Five men have undertaken the challenge of not only running an efficient scholastic program, but also of developing and enhancing the fine qual- ities of 3,000 young men. The Class of '71 has graduated under a prin- cipal who began his office simultaneously when they were freshmen. A vice-principal who guided Controlling budgets of all departments and activities is the work of Rev. Robert F. Kelly, 0. Praem., Treasurer. some wayward members of this class, a curricu- lum especially outlined for this group by their academic vice-principal. The famed Dean of Dis- cipline who handed out detention slips to the associates of this class, trying to make them realize that cutting wasn't always the best thing. And ultimately, the man to whom all senior fees were paid-the treasurer. Truly, this Administration fulfilled their offices by being the backbone of the Class of 1971. Newly appointed Dean of Discipline, Mr. Albert J. Di- Giacomo, is responsible for the implementation of school policies.
