You start with the beginning And end this year, you see. But we beg to be different A unique class are we We never gave our teachers One bit of misery. So we'll start with our senior year Our history to repeat But don't expect to hear those things That make school so exciting We'll only list for you What we can put in wirting. Monday, May the eighth was sneak day I guess the whole town knew it To Wichita we traveled, the Continental way There was much fun and laughter And everyone was gay Late that evening we did meet At Wolf's Cafeteria, There to eat. On Saturday, May the fifth, history repeats, The juniors gave a banquet That's really quite a feat The theme was Cinderella The food and program neat We left, our mood quite mellow. Miss Newell coached Tattletale Which was our Senior Play We all had parts, the play was gay We did so well, or so they say, We'l1 graduate the 2lSI of May. Our boys they were outstanding In football, basketball, and track, But we needn't go too deeply into that, For now we must go back, Teddye Gutierrez joined us this year Our only new recruit Perhaps you would like to know the ones Who managed this fine group. Jackie Fox is president, Eddie Robinson is vice, And Bonnie Metz is treasurer, now isn't that nice? Our sponsors are Jack Davis and Marie Newell. Now back to our junior year. We dressed as babies, that was fun, Drank pop from our baby bottles for a pun. Additions to our eighth grade roll included two new boys Jay Templin and Thomas Taylor. You should have heard the noisell Richard Russell came within our gates in '45 We were in the seventh gradell But, why not, we were wise. The seniors were condescending and the freshmen not too sweet, But our sponsors Kellogg and Thole really saved our lives. The sixth grade, bless Miss Carter's heart, We always will remember Nancy Russell, Bonnie Metz, and Jackie Fox became new mem- bers. Our fifth grade teacher was Dorothy Bonney Four new students we can list Donna Hager, Kenneth Harper, Bill Kirkpatrick and Jerry Bliss. The fourth grade teacher? Marie Fisher Always called the roll Edwin Robinson came ambling in In 1941, a happy group were we, Opal Dennis was then our teacher. Maude Russell came to add her charm, We never did one bit of harm. Better than average group were we Just look at us and that you'll see Margaret Schieb with her sweet smile Taught us in the nicest way How to work and how to play Helen Corn came that year to stay. Now we're back to '39. First graders then were we Elizabeth Hudson was our teacher And taught us well, you see. Eight of us in '38 started here to school Opal Ottaway was the teacher, Doubt if one could ever beat her. Eager to study then were we We've kept that trait, its plain to see, Better than average children we So here's our history from A to Z This is truly ancient history Its been so long ago But we thought that we 'd repeat it So you'd be sure to know.
