For ages man has studied volume upon volume of literature in an effort to satisfy his quest for knowledge. In our agitated school life, learning may not al- ways seem to be as exciting as we would like. At times classes may tend to become monotonous and we are tempted to wish that there be some other way in which man can become cultured. But we are all aware that only through the perserverance of the daily rituals such as attention, understanding and homework are we able to achieve the goals that can be ours. ,:V4lY fx X r out B... I Reverend Adolph Oser Advice or discipline, encouragement or mortification, our administration is there sta- tioned on duty for us whenever we beckon. It is as if each teaching and guiding member of St. John's is an officer in God's legion on earth, constantly directing others, as is the code of their chosen mission. And it is for this reason that we look to them, trying to follow the ex- ample that they lay before our very eyes each and every day while we are in school. As their charges, we can only hope and pray that what we have learned from their inspiring expecta- tions of us, will not be forgotten when we are out on our own. For surely, even though we seldom voice our thanks, all students are deeply grateful to them and the constant con- cern they give us. May God bless you always.
