Reverend Father Charles Buesher completed his studies and was ordain- ed a priest at St. Meinard's Seminary in Wisconsin. He began his priestly career in i945 at Sacred Heart Parish in Whiting, Indiana. In 1947 he was transferred to St. Mary's in Griffith, Indiana. From there he was sent to Sacred Heart at Flint, where he remained from i950 to l958. Then, as we all know, Father was sent to our own St. John's here in Jackson. We sincerely wish to welcome you and hope your stay here will be pleasant and fruitful. ASSISTANT PASTORS Father James Novak's first appointment was here in Jackson at St. John's. After graduating from the eighth grade in i945 he entered St. Joseph's Seminary in Grand Rapids, later being transferred to Mount St. Mary at Norwood, Ohio, and finishing his theological studies at St. John's Seminary, Plymouth, Michigan. We are grateful for your friend- liness and patience and for your counsel and guidance in your relig- ion classes.
