FAREWELL, Today we leave our dear Saint John's, Our school years over at last. But never in our minds will falter The joyous thoughts of the past. Through these long years we've studied hardy We have worked, and played, and prayed. We have offered everything to God, Trusting that near Him we've stayed. As we go on through each new year We'll utter, each, a prayer For those who linger at St. John High, For those still toiling there. We pay tribute to the Sisters dear, Who, while we worked and played, Kept their constant vigil o'er Their children as they prayed. CLASS FLOWER: Red Rose Mighty like a rose, they say Concerning life's fair flower. Our hope is also in God's strength, As on us grace is showered. CLASS COLORS: Blue and White The brilliant colors of our class Portray our feelings light. Yet true devotion to our work Is held in Blue and White. CLASS MOTTO: Under Mary's Mantle Through all our years of study We've found devotion trueg Always, as'God's children Under Mary's Mantle Blue. ST. .TOHN'S And who could have fought those dreary years Without the aid of one blessed. Truly, God's grace has been given anew To His priests - His workers best. The Victory Bell on dear St. John's Rings out again anew To wish us many happy years In our future life so new! We're thankful that this happy year Has dawned to us at last. But yet a tear or two may drop To recall the years that have passed. And so we say, Farewell, St. John's, Bless us from above, And keep us ever in your heart Forever, with God's love. Joyce Calbert ALMA MATER Hail St. John's Blue and Gold, Dear Alma Mater To thee we pledge anew our fealty. Ever our guiding star, be Thou our inspiration, Honor and Loyalty Be ever to Thy name! 8
