Alice comes from Hopkinton every single day And of course there s no one who needs lead th way uirky of course is our Chemistry man If he keeps it up he ll be the best in the land And up front sits Sally she sits there all day Margaret reads detective stories to pass away the time Let s hope this doesn t lead her on the road to crime Luggie and Ernie go around in a Ford You ll see them go by and shout All aboard Ellen and Louise simply love their English And this is the one period they will not relinquish Pauline of course is in charge of the gum And in her mouth she s always got some And Marty s the boy with questions galore When you thmk he s done he s always got more Dot loves school with all her heart With her studies she will hate to part For the sound of the dinner bell Lily can t wait And then it just happens that she comes back late And say this for Joe whether far or near When walking along he s always in high gear. The girls pick Bill Lyons No. 1 in their hooks. I don t know why could it be his good looks? Laura s got us guessing just whom it is she likes But this time we know that the lucky one is Spike. Don t forget Dick Malfait who s so sweet and modest But, of course, in this poem how can I be honest? There's our bid for handsome and Walshie's his name All the girls drool and say, More of the same. And never to be forgotten are Stackie's speeches On the fine qualities of Georgia peaches.
