AQUILA PAGE35 lllllflllfllllllllllllllllllf now a candldate for the Maryknoll Order When h1s goal 15 reached, we ask that he often remember hxs school pals The blggest soclal event of the year was the Chr1stmas dance, the first formal ever glven by Semors It was a tremendous success and we meant lf to be so from the start, for on our achtevement would depend many future perm1ss1ons for formals By means of a raffle and a ser1es of part1es, we made enough money for the essentlals and the trtmmmgs When the dance was over, everyone agreed that we knew how to do thmgs he r1ght way That was the trme everyone wore wmgs and tried to be doubly good Confraternlty groups from Nashua, Htllsboro, Suncook, and the Sacred Heart Parlsh were our guests durlng the sprlng vacatton After a general meetlng ln church, we had a chlcken supper at the hall and then a dance It was wonderful' We ll never, never forget lt' The Nashualtes made qu1te a h1t wlth us, so much so that we can hardly watt to make a return v1s1t before school closes The usual thr1lls and horrors of prxze speaking that all classes go through IS almost over The essays are yet to come We are lookmg forward to the banquet and to somethmg else, too We ve heard rumors about the un1or plans for us and they sound superflne Senlor days weren t all fun We had plenty of studying to do tn chem1stry, htstory, soclology Enghsh, and business practice Our prmctpal, S1ster ulxana, was our home room teacher, and, under her supervlsxon, we learned to know her better and to appreclate all she does for Salnt ohn s Chemshxng as we shall each memory of our school days, we shall often look back wxth grateful hearts to the years that are no more To those who have atded us 1n mcreasmg our store of knowledge, nn bulldxng our characters, and 1n tralnlng us to be good cxttzens of thts world and of the world to come, we say a fervent thank you Remember us and pray for us, please, for we are not endmg but just begmnmg Leona Lafflazre 45 L . 7 ' s . . , . , . , . .
