'80 Shows l-low Rallies this year were dominated by the spirited Junior class. The Juniors won the spirit stick tour times, thereby sittng a record that no other class in Bosco's his- tory has ever come close to. Spirit ran high in the Junior section of the gym as Paul Arranaga, dressed in his bunny, clown, and chicken outfits, led the Jun- iors in cheers. This helped the whole stu- dent body to show a strong backing of the football team. This year also marked the dedication of the spirit stick to certain people. Alter their first win, the Juniors dedicated the stick to Mr. Stempson. Then the Seniors dedicated the stick at the Homecoming faliy to the football team for good luck. The Pep Club with their, shall we say, satirical skits, only appeared once this year CThank Godj. The band emerged from a mere six peo- ple with no better way to earn a Varsity letter, to an organized ensemble with an electric Rhodes piano and a seven mem- berdruntsquad. The Homecoming rally was the best ever. The highly spirited students rocked the gym with cheers ot Beat the Saints! The Juniors had their Class of 80 T- shirts on, the Sophs had their spirit signs and the Seniors .wore their togas and lau- rel wreathes. Theclass competition was fierce since every class wanted to win the most important raliy ot the year but the Seniors pulled together and took it away. Bosco and Joseph's cheerleaders cre- ated breathtaking pyramids, but with- out the aid ot the Juniors the cheerlead- ers would have been A Stranger in Tnnef' 1.
