The editor-in-chief was Arthur Moore. Other staff members were Martha Jo Wilson, Junior Beshears, Ralph Shannon, Howard Cable, Nell Huey, Mildred Embry, Atha Grigsby, Frances Hemphill, Mary Ellen Bellah, Blanche Hammer, Ray McLaughlin, David Roberts, Sterman Prather, Harold Davis, Bonnie Jones and Bernice Matney. Sponsors were Roland Davidson, Miss Mary Jo Merkt and Katherine Rogers. THE ROUND UP staff expressed the hope that their publication would set a precedent in Saint Jo High School. Possibly, but for the war, this hope would have materialized but it was not until 1945-46 that another annual was pub- lished this time entitled PANTHER TRAILS It was somewhat similar to the Round Up with a few extra pages of activities and it also included the grade school Editor in Chief of 1946 PANTHER TRAILS was Laura Burns Other staff members were Billy Jo Dennis Dean Shields Jimmie Pedigo Harley Sewell Virginia Grigsby Lou V Stevens Patricia Evans Nolan Pier son Jr and Martha Lou Wickliffe Mis Mary Ruth McClellan Mrs Walter Collier and Mrs Lester Victor were sponsors THE EXPERIENCE of publishing one annual brought forth a better 1947 PANTHER TRAILS It was a bound book with a heavier cover The photo graphs were clearer more activity pictures were entered and the quality of the materials used was improved Staff members who had served the year be fore were Virginia Grlgsby editor in-chief Jack Wilson Patricia Evans Nolan Pierson Jr Lou V Stevens Dean Shields and Jimmie Pedigo New members were Jane Meroney Edward Dowd Dorothy Prather Cleddie Webb and James Pierson 1948 FOUND the students eagei for a bigger and better than ex er PANTHER TRAILS It promises 1 padded cover in Maroon and White dixision pages with panther illustrations and a quality of material surpassing the others The distinctive feature of the 1948 annual is that it is truly a local product The photography has been done bv Kent Bellah and the book has been 1 inted in the commercial department of the Saint Jo Tribune Y dai l 3 'Sf A r'lf L la a Q - H ,, . , . . . . 1 V , Y . . . . , I . . . 1 . v v 1 ' I 'v ' l .
