'hi ' A Rev. Jerome Arnold, C. R., M. A. Dean of Arts, Superior of the C. R. Community here at St. Jerome's and a man who can't say no . Requests or favours, whether large or small of either students or priests or the man on the street, always find a sympathetic ear in our genial Dean. He has taught students from the 8th Grade up to and including the College level. St. Jerome's won its only Canadian championship in any sport when he coached the High School basketball team in 1945. 48

G' '!!. ' vi-if dum... atefb Robert Flannery Bob came to St. Jerome's inSept. of '50, He intends to complete his studies for the priesthood at St. Pauls in Minnesota. An enthusiastic sportsman at home in Montrose S,D, , he has provided stiff competition in the game of pool here at St.Jerome's. Richard Konkel Dick has been a very active member of the Debating Team and is an avid pool fan, with trophies to prove it. Dick's next stop is St. Mary's Seminary in Cincinnati. Patrick Mackan Pat is studying for the diocese of Hamilton and intends to enter St. Augustine's. He served as president of the F. K. Club, chairman of the athletics committee and was an outstanding member of the Debating Team. Frank Mahler Frank received all four years of college at St. J's. He has been adopted by the Bishop of Richniond Virginia, although he is a native of Amityville, Long Island, N. Y. Martin McCarthy Marty has completed his third year at the College. He received his high school education in his home town, Toledo Ohio. His future appointment is in the hands of his Bishop. Donald Mulumby Don is our Senator from South Dakota. Before coming to St. J's he attended the Univ. of Seattle for two years. Next year Don will attend St. Paul's Seminary and study for the diocese of Sioux Falls. A nthony Pa sc ale Tony is one of our second year men who hails from Syracuse N. Y. He served as president of the F. K. Club. His service in the U. S. Army and the Marines will provide a good background for his future work as a priest. Terence Traynor Terry is a native of Kitchener and has attended St. Jerome's for nine years. He will receive his B. A. and plans to continue his studies at London University, majoring in Journalism.
