St. Jean students and faculty attending the dedication ceremonies of Greater Muskegon Catholic Central in the early fall are thrilled as they view from the background The Clipper being inserted with important documents in the cornerstone by the Rt. Rev. Raymond H. Baker, Vicar General of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, while the Very Rev. William E. Fraser, pastor of St. Jean, and Rev. Marcel VanBergan, former assistant at Sacred Heart, Muskegon, assist in the ceremony. The new Greater Muskegon Catholic Central, located on Barclay and Laketon, as it nears completion for the opening, in September 1953, for approximately 800 students of Greater Muskegon and vicinity.
