Acolytes, Vestry Chapel is a regular part of life at the Schools, but a large number of students did a little extra for the religious program by serving as acolytes. Anne Quirke and Bruce Graham were head acolytes at the St. Mary's and Good Shepherd chapels respectively. The Vestry, which had been dormant at Shattuck for several years, was resurrected and expanded to include representatives from all three schools and the Faculty. The Vestry advised the School Minister on chapel services and coordinated several social outreach projects. Band After several years without an instrumental program, the Schools got a new band, under the direction of Mr. Larry Novak. The group had to struggle in its first year - especially for practice time - but managed to put on several performances, including a full- dress concert at Commence- ment. There were 2O members, more or less. Sue Moran was president, and Sue Nicol and Shay Weir were student direc- tors.
