SAINTONIAN Annual Staff Preserves Memories Although plagued by the usual problems of hurried writing to make deadlines, the 1977-78 Annual Staff once again pulled their forces together to deliver this publi- cation to the waiting public. Under the competent co-leadership of Kim Sinclair and Laurel Vanderbilt, and advi- sors Mr. Wetzel and Miss Pennings, the annual staff chose pictures, wrote stories, met deadlines, planned layouts, decided on headlines, wrote more stories, planned more pages, met deadlines, measured pic- tures, tried to meet deadlines, deadlines, dead Besides their dedication for preserving each year for posterity, the staff raised money by running the concession stand. They satisfied the thirsty mind as well as the hungry stomach!! Responsibility for producing the SAINTONIAN lies with Miss Pennings and Mr. Wetzel, the advisors, and Laurel Vanderbilt and Kim Sinclair, the co-editors. THE SAINTONIAN PRODUCTION STAFF: D. Henke, M. For the reader's entertainment, there was a feature page, which contained many interesting fact and fiction articles, in- cluding the Remember when's .. and Joel Neisen's School Surveys. The sport page was another highlight of the paper, especially when Jim Veglahn printeci what became a famous line during tne basketball season, calling the Butterfield Indians Hicks. With the help of advisor Pat Branstad and editor Amy Porter, the Saints Reporter an its staff enjoyed a run and re- warding year. THE BUSINESS STAFF: L. Schultz, D. Johnson, K. Robbins, L. Lofgren, N. Pierson, M. Mayberry, V. Todnem, M. Schultz, L. Nelson. Identifying and laying out pictures is a major chore for Karen, Renee, and Donna of the Annual Staff. 'Twas the day before deadline And all was not right. Not a creature was stirring, Not even a mite. We editors screamed At the top of our lungs, Sponsor! Dear Sponsor! What can be done? We can't find the pictures, The photographers are gone, The darkroom is flooded — This just can't go on! Late into the night We worked(until day), Got the annual finished, And sent it away. -Erin Muths- Jackson, Wyoming 19
