CHOIR Singing Brings Much Enjoyment The concert choir began another fun season by combining with the band for the Jazz Rock Concert in November. December, always a busy month, found the Madrigals competing with other similar groups at Gustavus Adolphus College. The week preceeding Christmas vacation three performances were given. The first at the First National Band and broadcast over KNUJ radio. The second, a live T-V performance over KEYC-TV, and that same night the annual Christmas Concert for the public. In January rehearsals began for the Spring Con- cert and contests. May was another busy month. Two perform- ances were given at other schools. At St. Peter a standing ovation was received. The other was at Nicollet. The seasons climax was the annual Spring Con- cert on May seventeenth. Several of Dave Moulton s compositions were presented-another standing ovation! The choir completed its season by singing at Baccalaureate and Commencement. Mr. Jokumsen deserves much credit for creating much pride and enjoyment in the Concert Choir. STAR SOLOISTS: SEATED: S.
