HOMECOMING Happiness is Homecoming ’71 Homecoming activities started Monday with the powderpuff football game. A vic- tory by the senior girls over the junior girls stimulated spirit and pep for this year's homecoming. The rest of the week was spent building floats. Everyone will remember stuffing tissues. Thursday night the pep fest spirit was really high. The football players promised the students they would do their best to Tuc a Buck Away . The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Queen Sue Jessop and King Jeff Nessler. Friday, school was dis- missed early for the parade. Taking first place was the Auto Mechanics float. Sec- ond place went to the Sophomore Class. At the game, the stands were loaded with Saints supporters. The score at halftime was 6-0 with the Jimmies in the lead. Halftime performance by the band was again outstanding. Blue Earth went on to gain a 14-12 victory but we played a tough game. Dance music was furnished by the Laurel Ambush and all will remember Homecoming 71. Coaches, referees and team captains are caught while discussing a play in the Powderpuff game. There was as much discussing as playing!! Left: Sue Rettki, Deb Basmoen, Sue Chapman, and Paula Gosche, along with the other Cheerleaders, added spirit to the Homecoming activities. 9
