At last we're getting up in the world . . . Roller skating parties held everyone's fancy . . . The eighth graders were invited to one of them . . . Most of the time was spent mop- ping up the floor but it was still fun . . . With the coming of Christmas the black boards in Mr. Williams room shone with the artistic designs of several class members ... It seemed a shame to erase them ... eighth grade The year which marked the halfway point through Junior High proved to be an eventful one for the eighth grade . . . homecoming was the main event . . . lots of hard work went into the float but it didn't get a prize . . . the eighth grade paper was again pub- lished with Mr. Williams acting as advisor . . . David Zender and Lois Gilbertson act- ed as editor in chief and assistant editor, respectively, with Marilyn Henderson as treasurer for the first semester . . . the year was marked with skating parties, birthday parties, and slumber parties which were enjoyed by all attending ... a bang- up Halloween party was held to keep prank- sters out of mischief . . . our class was en- larged by several new members during the year . . . Phy. Ed. classes were held at the bowling alley once a week with new talent constantly being discovered . . . looking back, it was a very eventful year. Class officer.
