MISS MAR Y BA UER It is rare indeed to find a woman who can worlc with high school boys for a quarter-century and still retain her composure and sanity. Kliss Bauer has not only done this. but has also been the backbone of the St. James secretarial staff. In 1940 she was the only secretary and treasurer for 12 faculty mem- bers and 244 students. Today she is chief of three secretaries of the staff, serving 55 faculty members and over 1400 students. Always cheerful and hardworking, Miss Bauer certainly deserves a hearty thanks for her quarter- centurv of service. MR. FRANCIS BEANS BRENNAN Through his twenty-five-year sojourn at St. james, Mr. Brennan has served the student body with a father-like dedication. He has constantly striven to develop our students not only intellectually, but also physically, for in his twenty-five years here he has served as an art instructor, and he has coached football and basketball. Beans Brennan is always there when there is work to be done. Cn many occasions, Mr. Brennan has helped the organizations of the school when there was any type of designing needed. For instance, the dance decorations, scenery for all the dramatic presentations. all the Blue and Gray art, and even sketches of football plays have all been under his expert direction. His quick wit and subtle humor have endeared him forever in the hearts of all who lcnow him. Faculty members, students, athletes-all of us join in thanking and congratulating Mr. Brennan on his twenty-five generous years of service to St. James.
