Absent: Mr. Rogier, Co-Sponsor. On August 30, 1957, thirty-six freshmen came walking up the steps to obtain a higher learning. They were initiated by the Juniors of 1957-58 on September 27, 1957. This year sixteen new members joined the class. They are: Joan Becker, John Bernard, Florence Buehler, Gene Daiber, Frank Deutsch, Violet Giger, Delray Grote- fendt, Gary Hagnauer, Judith Hinnen, Joann Mersinger, Aileen Reimiller, Charles Mugler, Tom Thomas, JoAnn Woll, Pat Warfield, and Joyce Wiegand. The class chose pink and white as the class colors and the orchid as the class flower. The road called Toil leads to the city called Success, is our motto. Susan Kraft and Vincent Rogier were elected to the Student Council. Butch, Delray, Vincent, Tom Thomas, John, Don, Glenn, Jim and Bill took part in basketball. Jim and Johnny took part in being librarians. Most of the class joined the Science Club.
