On August 30, 1957, sixteen upperclassmen climbed the steps for the third year at Jakie High, all of us looking forward to a most exciting year. This year we have three new members: Pat Arbgast, Jerry Woll, and Leslie Iberg. Our class colors are red and white: our flower - carnationg motto - Be sure you are right - then go ahead. The following participated in basketball: T. Ahlmeyer - 3 years, J. Schmitt, J. Kohneg G. Beeler - 2, J. Faires - 1 year. These boys also took part in baseball: T. Ahlmeyer - 3, J. Kohne, G. Beeler - 2, J. Woll - 1 year. C. Frutiger and S. Aemiseg ger were varsity cheerleaders, while J. Fruth kept score. During the year, we sold soda and popcorn at home basketball games. On April 3, we gave a Donkey Basketball game, which was a big success. On April 26, the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet was given by our class. The theme of the Prom was Neptune Court. Ervin Dol1inger's Orchestra provided musical enchantment for the memorable evening, which we are sure everyone will always remember.
