Ignatians battle basketball foes, hazards of Winter February’s winds turned West 30th into a wind tunnel and unprepared Ignatians had to resort to Roman battle tactics to tight the chilling winds, treacherous footing, and the bottlenecked main doorway. College nights, an occasional mixer, the city championship, and state tournament games combined to make February a windblown month in other ways. At least the hectic basketball schedule served to keep Ignatians alive with support during those long, cold days. Although the weather was almost too much to bear at times, no one seemed to mind the tree day after I eb-ruary Bill's surprise blizzard.
