Varsity football, intramurals motivate spirited year To many Ignatinns the second school month meant lootball. An intramural program, senior-faculty gridiron battles, and even band practice in the parking lot smelled oi October's varsity games. I he few football rallies of the season shortened classes tor the day; and it that didn't free students, a rally's emotional unity did. A different kind of rally gave other Ignatians a more unselfish insight to victory. They accepted a challenge to Walk for Hunger, just as they had earlier responded to the football team's plea for support, and turned out in droves for this 25-mile trek around Cleveland. Fair play is rewarded as Olympic Star Madahno Manning hands President Pete Cartagna the l‘)70 Spotlsnunship Trophy.
