In spirit of the Giants, the SI Student Council held a Giants Night in the gym where Game 2 of the World Series was shown live. On this night, October 28th, the Giants swept the Texas Rangers in a 9-0 victory. This night was spectacular all around! Now who would have thought that the San Francisco Giants would have ever made it to the Playoffs let alone win the World Series. This team of misfits truly proved everyone wrong especially when they dominated the playoffs. Then came the World Series. They scraped them in only 5 games. Between Uribe, Posey, Lincecum, Renteria, Wilson, Huff, Torres, Burrell, and everyone in between, the Giants were able to defeat their opponents in postseason. When the Giants came back from the final win of the World Series in Texas there was a parade downtown, that many SI students attended. Go Giants! 12
