 Thanks to our student council, SI had its first ever Homecoming dance! This is one of the first times in the past four years that an SI school dance has sold out. Many people even had to beg the deans to get in! The theme? truly felt like we were going back to a sock hop. With Jack Singer's car outside, people got their first impression of how the night was going to go down. All of the cool cats who attended dressed up in the theme - poodle skirts, leather jackets, and hair ribbons - to show their support and enthusiasm. It was a memorable night resounding with hits (played by a live band!!) from artists like Elvis, Chuck Berry, and Chubby Checker. And every so often, we flashed forward and heard some popular hits from our own DJ, Henry Lerdal. To put it simply, the dance was a HUGE SUCCESS!
