Showln' To the Red and Blue well all be true! During Spirit Week students and faculty are given the chance to break out their wildest clothes, displaying their SI spirit. By doing so, we come together as a school community and get pumped for the Bruce. This year we kicked off the week with a first ever Stoplight Day, notifying our peers of our relationship status. On Tuesday our friends still remained our buds as we dressed up eccentrically for Would You Be My Friend If I Wore This Day. Wednesday brought out class rivalries with Clash of the Classes Day. Then Thursday allowed each of us to come clothed to SI as our favorite salad, whether Thousand Island or Chinese Chicken, for Salad Dressing Day. During both fourth and fifth period lunch, Mr. Ignatian candidates strutted their stuff down the runway. And finally Friday filled Si’s halls with a sea of red and blue, including this year’s Bruce shirts with a little thank you message to SH, for the traditional Red and Blue Day. Although the football Bruce was not until Saturday afternoon, SI was already pumped to the max from an EPIC rally which ended the school week. Everybody from Drum Corps to Student Council and from Jazz Band to Dance and Drill fired up the student body. Furthermore, faculty exhibited their swagger, and the Varsity Football Team sung to us that “[They] Want It That Way by bringing back the Bruce. Spirit Week unites our SI community as we sharpen our claws as game day approaches. In the end, We are SI!” 1. Senior class cheer in the rally. 2.
