INTER Pops This year’s Winter Pops Concert, showcasing one of our most popular repertoires of rite past few years, was a smashing success. In addition to the members of the Wildcat Jazz Band and the Symphonic Orchestra, more than one hundred and twenty SI students appeared on stage with the Mixed Chorus and Chamber Singers. The chorus members labored tirelessly under the direction of Mrs. Sablinsky, working to perfect our challenging, but exciting, program. We performed a wide variety of choral music ranging from the traditional pieces “Elijah and Joshua and John Saw Duh Numbuh to the sacred “Set Me As A Seal and the madrigal “Now Is The Month Of Maying. The Male Quartet was spectacular in their performances of “Prayer of the Children” and the ever-popular “The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and the Combined Chorus brought to life the Amazon in “Tres Cantos Nativos. We, along with the Symphonic Orchestra, performed selections from the fantastic Lx’s Miserables, and our mewing finale “Battle Hymn of the Republic” was very powerful.
