The Diary of Anne Frank The Diary of Anne Frank actors faced many new obstacles: crying, kissing, and handling one of the biggest distractions on stage, a cat. However, through the support of fellow cast members, extra time devoted to sharing circles, and the afternoons dedicated to pizza and the documentary, “The play came together in a beautiful way in which we were able to learn more about the human condition and the struggles about the people in the holocaust, while learning about ourselves,” said Francesca Christopher. The Diary of Anne Frank was the last leg of the four-year journey for more than half of the cast. Jeremiah Kelleher explains, “As the seniors leave their scratches in the theatre’s floor, they look to the ‘young champions’ to continue the legacy they have left - the legacy that is SI Drama.” - Allie Kokesh ‘05 (Mrs. Van Daan) rhe closing cast slices cake in :elebration of the New Year. INTER Pops This year’s Winter Pops Concert, showcasing one of our most popular repertoires of rite past few years, was a smashing success. In addition to the members of the Wildcat Jazz Band and the Symphonic Orchestra, more than one hundred and twenty SI students appeared on stage with the Mixed Chorus and Chamber Singers. The chorus members labored tirelessly under the direction of Mrs. Sablinsky, working to perfect our challenging, but exciting, program. We performed a wide variety of choral music ranging from the traditional pieces “Elijah and Joshua and John Saw Duh Numbuh to the sacred “Set Me As A Seal and the madrigal “Now Is The Month Of Maying. The Male Quartet was spectacular in their performances of “Prayer of the Children” and the ever-popular “The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and the Combined Chorus brought to life the Amazon in “Tres Cantos Nativos. We, along with the Symphonic Orchestra, performed selections from the fantastic Lx’s Miserables, and our mewing finale “Battle Hymn of the Republic” was very powerful.
