The Music of the Night... ... was only one of the many hits performed during the seven evenings of singing, music playing, and even a little dancing. To add a little more flavor to the Chamber Singers “42nd Street, ' talented dancers, Alanna Pinell and Liz Andolong choreographed their own little tap routine to go along with the song. Accompanied by the Wildcat Jazz Band, one of the quartets featuring Stephen Dominguez, Liz Andalong, Andrew Haesloop, and Maxine Evangelista (aka S.L.A.M.) performed “I’ve Got a Gal in Kalamazoo.” “The song was great, said tenor Stephen Dominguez. After the Handbell Ringers performed “Trampin,” it was Mixed Chorus’ turn to astound the audience with their musical talent. Alto Lauren Reyes described her feelings about their performance saying, “I was proud of the way we sounded when all our voices came together.” The music of the night continued after the short intermission when the talented Symphonic Orchestra, carrying their instruments, graced the stage. Aside from playing music from “The Phantom of the Opera,” their selection of pieces included Karl Jenkins' “Palladio, Concerto Grosso.” Violinist Janclle Tropper recalled their performances saying. “At first 1 was scared to death of playing ‘Palladio especially because it was only the string section playing. But it turned out great.” To describe the whole evening of music as “great would be an understatement. The Combined Chorus and Orchestra finished olT with their rendition of Rodgers Hammestein’s “You'll Never Walk Alone. The music of each night of Winter Pops was so beautiful that it resonated in everyone's cars many nights after the final show. The music of those 7 nights made lasting impressions that said, “SI has talented singers, musicians, and performers.” Chamber Singers Sopranos: Anna Alioto, Tiffany Chinn, Kristy Choo.
