Where are you going next year? It seems every senior has heard that question asked hundreds of times in the past few months. But it was not too long ago that the ques- tion asked was quite different. It was just about four years ago when we were asked, What school did you go to last year? Since that time a lot has happened to us. We have gone through four of the most important years of our lives. We came into SI as children on the verge of adolescence, and we are leaving as young men ready for the future. Just as we have grown up, we have grown together. Instead of a collection of students thrust into the same class, we have become one class; the class of '77. Even though our tastes and preferences are as varied now as they ever were, we are bound together by the one thing we have in common: the SI experience. What is that experience? It is not any one big experi- ence but rather the culmination of several small experiences. The Friday morning liturgies and the Friday night games; the after school activities and the after school detention all contribute to this experience. We have been a part of it for the past few years and, in these growing years, it has helped form us. Next year we will be in colleges throughout the country learning new things and meeting new people. But no matter where we go or what we do, we will remember this experi- ence; it is a part of us, and we are the better for it. 46 50 Faculty Senior Index
