6'6WZl!dy5 ai: Lg Wlmzf To furnish the students with a complete education is the goal of St. Hubert's Catholic High School. Every girl has an important spiritual schedule as well as a carefully planned scholastic roster. The quiet peace that Blls the chapel as we kneel in prayer during our Junior Adoration period, the reverent awe that enfolds us as we receive Holy Communion, and when we realize that we are really a part of the Mass as we utter the responses, the wonderful ioy that is ours when Father holds before us Our Lord in Benedictionp all these are benefits of our Catholic education. We count also among our many privileges weekly exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, helpful sermons by our principal, Father Simons, discussion of our problems with Father Blanchfield, our chaplain, three days of retreat to inspire us to greater achievement, and the beautiful May Procession, in which we honor Our Blessed Lady. There are many things which make our school outstanding, many blessings that we will remember all our lives. At the top of the list comes its truly Catholic atmosphere. msn, :lvl f W gt Y, R sn., 5 V, X '51-.

'44 'i i When the world is preparing for the Resurrection ot Our Lord, we also prepare by three days of retreat dur- ing Holy Week. During the Annual Retreat, marks, sports, holidays, good times, and all else tade into the back- ground. We set aside all material things to give serious consideration to the improvement of the depth and quality of our spiritual status. Beginning with Holy Mass in the morning and ending with Benediction in the after- noon, the days are tilled with conferences, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, spiritual reading, and recitation of the rosary. It is during events like this that lives are changed, vocations are discovered, and moral reiuvena- tion takes place. TRADITIONAL during the annual retreat is spiritual reading. Patricia Mahoney invokes the guidance of the Holy Spirit as she reads one of the many books and pamphlets available for all retreatants. ith, 0 I WAYS AND MEANS of obtaining many spiritual blessings and favors are offered during retreat. Taking advantage of the opportunities for confession are freshmen Geraldine Mahoney, Ann Flood, Helene Schramm, Margaret Eigenbciuer, and Alice Elitz.
