Over twelve years, each one of them has taught us the principles of Christian living. Much more important than the teaching of the fundamental subjects, which they so patiently tried to instill, our teachers taught us the important ideals for which they stood and which they wanted us to learn They taught us by their example Always willing to help us in any way they could, they taught us as no books ever would By a teacher's humble patience and love they demonstrated to us how to live life at its fullest Their joy was one of giving, never expectirg any return for doing their duty This book signifies the completion of high school days To us these twelve years have been full years, thanks to our teachers Their Job is firished, but ours has just begun We will leave the helping hands which guided us through our school days, but, we will never leave the principles of living which they have taught ' I 1 3 f 'eil ' li ,TW TV , ii my -' aL' -f Wig! HENRY'S Not to be outdone by the fanfare of the national election last fall, the senior class sponsored a mock election, complete with campaign speeches, a polling place, and publication of the results. We weren't able to have Stevenson and Eisenhower give speeches. We settled for representatives. The Democratic speeches were prepared and delivered by Kenneth Kern and Shirley Boltnott. Barbara Doolittle and Jane Vied gave the Republican speeches, while Charles Goolsby spoke in defense of the independent voter. Sister Ann Irene mimeographed the ballots, a copy of those used in this county. The polls opened in the morning, and by noon everyone had registered and voted. The result was as expected. Stevenson won by a slim majority. However, the local candidates won by an overwhelming majority. gr 1 k M cw XML 'my ag' V Vvvv vv Y I wma, hahint? 6- 9 0:4 , COO..
