“QW, cLAss Hlsronv J, September, 1944 We Seniors should remember Calthough we don'tJ the hopeless look on S1ster's face This was the beginning Could she pos slbly do something with this group, the fut ure class of '569 The first grade was com posed of seventeen hopefuls Mary Albright Eugene Boitnott, Millard Carrlco, Joseph Carlisle, Cynthia Cervantes, James Duvall, Julia Gentry, Margaret Goolsby, Edward Hart, Patricia Hart, William Hart, Ellen D Love, ' Dorothy Patrick, John Pike Hunter Rolwing, Mary Ann Strlcker, William H Tanner, and Dennis Vled sneaked in at the half Through the ensuing eight years, some of us came and went However, in 1952, came our eighth grade graduation The graduates were Eugene Boitnott, Joseph Carlisle, James Duvall Julia Gentry, Margaret Goolsby, Edward Hart, Patricia Hart, William Hart, Betty Holifield Gene Howlett, Ellen D Love,Mart1n Pazdera John Pike, Hunter Rolwing, Clarence Staples, Mary Ann Stricker, William Tanner, and Dennis Vied Then the fun began High School WHOOPEE' O, that freshman class! Old faces, new ones Who cared, they were on the last leg of the journey of studying, et cetera Only four more years to go' These smart alecs were Joseph Carl1sle,John Dool1ttle,James Edward Hart, Patricia Hart, William Hart, Clarence Lieble Judy Moore, Martin Pazdera, John Pike Hunter Rolwlng, Clarence Staples, Mary Ann Strlcker, Margie Taylor, Dennis Vled, and william walker, How can we ever forget some of the events at St Henry's? Those fam ous pests, Porky and Ferdie, all the Christmas parties given by the D of I the Christmas plays, the ground breaking ceremonies for the new school the consecration of the new Altar, all these and many more are very beloved memories We also rejoiced with Father Rau upon the completion of his new church at East Prairie, and mingled sadness with well wishing as he left St Henry's to accept a more important job Such unforgettable days' And now, as we prepare to graduate, we look about us aat the envlron ment, thinking, how different it is compared with the old school days, and yet it hasn't changed a bit A ball game is still fun a olav still verv enjoyable, a dance still more delightful May, 1956 A happy group of Seniors note a look on S1ster's face which seems to say, 'well they did it Is it poss1ble?n Truth fully there were times when this feeling was shared by these same Seniors And as we walk out the portals of St Henry's, one thought is on the minds of all, How did we do 1t?N don't know,exactly, but we are willing to wa ger that without our Pr1ests,our Parents, and the Sisters, we would not have made it - ,,,,.
