Mike Staughler, announced that the Queen was Linda Goettomoeller. She was crowned by the 1982 Homecoming Queen, Rosanne Siefring. She was happily con- gratulated by the other attendants. The Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors each chose one girl to represent their class. The Senior class chose three atten- dants, who were Linda Goettomoeller CQueenQ, Nancy Stammen, and Amy Stucke. Although we were disappointed over the 10-O loss against the Delphos St. John's Bluejays, we did not allow this to spoil our plans for the Saturday evening homecom- ing dance. Straight from the Heart . . . that was the theme for the 1983 Homecoming Dance. Everyone danced to the music of Z man sound system. During the dance, the homecoming court was announced again and Linda Goettomoeller and Dale Heit- kamp enjoyed the traditional Royal Kiss. At this time everyone was getting action shots with their cameras. The gym was beautifully decorated with hearts and rain- bows. The dance ended at 11:00, but no one was sad. The after parties were still to come. 3 if at JM. , 7 - The Tinsel Twins! S 4 8 - Let's go out and party, Artie!

Dance Last year the cheerleaders needed to raise money for uniforms. They decided to have a dance CSweetheart Danceb, and it was a huge success. Since they had such good luck they decided to add one more dance, The 50's Dance. Tickets then went on sale for the first day and sales ranged in the area of one ticket, but then Carol told Joe she had other plans so the cheerleader bought their ticket back. The next day they sold enough, and the dance was still on. Everyone came bouncing in with their bobby socks and greased hair. The dance went rath- er well. Two hula hoops were given to Cheryl Speck and Jeff Davis for winning the Twist Contest. Marilyn Bender won a box of Bazoo- ka Bubble Gum for winning the teany Bobber catagory, and Toby Miller received a tube of Bylcream for his well slicked hair. The dance ended at 11:30 and all ofthe cheer- leaders had to stay and clean up.
