Under the guidance of the Reverend Paul Ciangetti, a sports program was in- troduced at St. Henry High School. And it was his dynamic personality that has carrie-d that humble beginning to the inclusive pro- gram we have today. Scanning the years, we find that Father Ciangetti arrived at St. Henry's in 1943. He found the only official sport inthe parish to be a Holy Name basketball team compos- ed of high school students. Father at once began the job of bringing to St. Henry an activity program of which the school could justly be proud. Today the Crusaders are actively participating in base- ball, basketball, bowling, boxing, golf, tennis, and volleyball. Under his leadership was organized the Northern Kentucky Catholic High School League. And it was Father Ciangetti who made possible the first basketball and the first boxing tournaments in this locality. He is and has been secretary of the Catholic League for five years. In ad- dition to his athletic interests, Father is the assistant pastor, religion instructor, and the personal friend and advisor of all his pupils. We, the students of Saint Henry High, are indeed fortunate in having such an energetic, youth-minded per son as Father Ciangetti, in our parish. His exemplary ways are an inspiring influence, his li e is abenediction. Standing: Dick Conradi, John Mueller, Edward Bender, fes mqn James Pophonl, Michael Cahill.
