Tom Henderson receives the trophy for lirst place finish in Senior Foul bhooting Contest. .PORT On the night of March 9, a record crowd viewed the spectacle of the fifth annual sports night in the school gymnasium. The event of the eve was undoubtedly the basket- ball contest between the Varsity and the Big Five from Saint Helena's parish The Varsity met its tough- est competitor in the form of old school mates and friends. The thrilling game, the score never being more than seven points apart, led to a double over- time. The hnal two points put in by Cox won the game for the Big Five. The score was 'O-68. lrato was high scorer for the Varsity while Grundig scored the most for the opposing team. The Champion Sth Grade team takes Kennedy Home in opening game of Sports Night. Nl HT A much anticipated Faculty-jay-Vee game came early in the evening. The jay-Vee romped the Broth- ers and Mr. Mahoney ' that the City Champs the court. During the evening prizes were given to deserving students. Chess champs, intramural basketball winners, foul shooting champs and winners of the much-coveted door prizes received the most enjoyment from the evening, The participants and the spectators of this most exciting night started home past eleven after an enjoyable by a cool I8 points proving could outwit the Faculty on a battery of trophys and door evening.
