Corresponding Secretary OFFICERS 1957-1958 In 1945, Father Vincent J. Wolf set about to organize a Mothers' Club. The purpose of such an organization was to give aid and assistance in any way possible to the School Sisters of Notre Dame who were to staff the school. On December 2, the first meeting was held in the home of Mrs. Lenora Bothwell, first president of the organization. Through the years the Mothers' Club has purchased such items as cafeteria equipment, clinic supplies, all sanitation supplies, library books, maps,. record players, records, time clock, public address system, desks, chairs, tables, motion picture projector, lockers, play-ground equipment, black-topping for a portion of the play-ground, furnishings for a room of the new Convent, and many other things too numerous to mention. As an organization the ladies have sold many items, given luncheons, ice-cream socials, bingo parties and dances. Their chief money-making project has always been their annual carnival. A food shower is given every November as a small act of thanksgiving to our Nuns. Past presidents of the Club are Mesdames Lenora Bothwell, Catherine Royce, Lil McKenna, Pat Bosworth, Elena Burke Q2 termsl, Jane Maher, Ella Mae Hesse, Betty Jo Finn, Louise Rizzo Q2 termsj, and Joan Spitznas. W Chairmen for 1957-58 are Mrs. Mary Klueppel, Sanitationg Mrs. Jean Gilboe, Cafeteriag Mrs. Elaine Johnston, Programg Mrs. Sam Clark, Library and Raffleg Mrs. Jeane Brinkman, Visual Education, Mrs. Dorothy King, Home Room Mothers, Mrs. Margie Garrett, Ice Cream Socialg Mrs, Nelda Godell, Bingo, Mrs. Lucille Crutchfield, Christmas Cardsg Mrs. Dorothy Craddock, Gift Saleg and Mrs. Sally Roedel, Transportation.
