The slogan of YOUTH WEEK is I-IEALTHIER, I-IOLIER, HAPPIER, strong in mind and body, fervent in spirit and happy in God'Ns grace. Parents and teachers believe in giving youth an oppor- tunity to learn by doing and by living. Our young people are, on the whole, wholesome in thought and act, guided by virtuous ideals of living. There is a mysterious power in reading. As good almost killamanas kill a good book, John Milton once wrote: who kills a man, kills a reasonable creature, God's imagegbut he who destroys a good book kills reason itself, kills the image of God, as it were, in the eye. ' M Through the combined efforts of the MOTHERS' CLUB, BOOSTER CLUB, and KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS lockers were purchased for the pupils of the Junior High, since no locker space had been provided for them in the classrooms. The students appreciate the thoughtfulness of Sister Lorita, principal of St. Gregory's School, in asking these various organiiations for the lockers.
