With the backing of Chicago's beloved Samuel Cardinal Stritch, St. Gregory's already extensive curriculum has been further ad- vanced during the past years. New co-curriculum activities have been introduced while the old, familiar ones have been greatly expanded. More and more ad- vantages have been opened to students at St. Gregory, until today it offers one of the best educational programs in the city. Not less proud of St. Gregory than the fac- ulty and students themselves, Cardinal Stritch watches its growth with the anxious eyes of a spiritual father and stands behind its progres- sive achievements. Catholic Education, which is the only real education because it touches the entire man, his spiritual as well as his cultural growth, is as alive and vigorous today as it has ever been in all its glorious history. The impetus and challenge which Catholic education holds for the youth of this generation is unparalleled. Each generation has its leaders in every field of endeavor, and today, the Catholic youth 1 .7 7' '53 rt,tn ,f Q ,I Yay. I 4 :stil of America have their own prototypes. ln our own school, there is a man of outstanding inspiration to his charges, a leader in the field of education. He is our own pastor and direc- tor, the Reverend Arthur Terlecke, whose inter- est and devoted service have sponsored an educational project to flowering fruition. His has been a task of love engendered by his deep concern for the needs of his children. Every talent, every need of every child has been the subject of his careful study, coupled with a de- termination to see his aims come true. l-low well he has succeeded is known to every stu- dent and to the entire community. Recently, his Eminence, the Cardinal, appointed our pastor to the Archdiocesan School Board in recognition of his efforts and interest in the welfare of youth.
