Long hours of conference, longer hours on the practice field work- ing out plays and signals, have given him an insight into the game. Along with a competitive spirit and a desire for Winning, Coach Sheedy has instilled in his boys the principles of good sportsmanship and fair play. And although the boys on his squads did not win many trophies, they have gained something better-the worthwhile principles which will be deciding factors in their lives. FDOTBALI. fwffn.. i' Q . It should be remembered, however, that Coach Sheedy fielded a team with only nine returning lettermen. NVith the assistance of James Swoish and Joseph Davis, Mr. Sheedy tried to form our boys into a team capable of meeting the veterans of the other teams in the league. Our football season next year promises to be better because of the experience the players have gained and the larger number of returning letter winners. SCORES S1, Gregory A , , O ST. PEiTI'lCk , . .
