Equip- ment added includes two new Necchi machines, a new swing needle Singer, six individual sewing tables , two large cutting tables, a triple mirror, a model- ing stand for measuring skirt lengths. Most of the improvements have been a donation,in- cluding the tile on the floor, fr m a friend of Sis- ter M. Dominica. An effort is being made to beauti- fy the department still more with attractive plants As a help to the poor, one box was sent to the orphanage for negro children at Grand Coteau, Louis- iana, three boxes to the Indian school at Chamber- lain, South Dakota, one box to the Indian school at Stephan, South Dakota, and a box to leper girls in the Philippines. Part of the clothing in the boxes was made by students of the sewing class and the rest was a donation. 30
