The newly elected of- ficers, Judy Wren, president, Marie Goeckner, vice president, and Agnes Geiss, secretary, gave talks at a later meeting It was decid ed that meetings would be held twice a month The club has 19 registered members The project this year is to study the different Sisterhoods in the United States and to give reports on them A major activi ty was a Marian pilgrimage to the Assumption Church in Ferdinand The rosary was recited in each car during the trip S me 80 vocation slides were shown on December 14 The girls later had the pleasure of seeing the movie pictures taken by Candi date Claire Schuler during her recent visit to Europe These pictures included scenes at some of the shrines of Our Lad xfk Vol, N 41 Auvwhl Q As the deer longs for the streams of water, so does my soul 1028 for Thee, O God! A if-xx This operetta, based on music by Stephen Foster,was presented on April 20, 21, and 22. It starts with a birthday party for Jeanie-- Jeanette Jenny, given by her uncle, Colonel Staunton--James Uhlenkott. He presents Jeanie with the family heirloom, a ruby. A Hindu magician-Majundahr--Alan Hoene --who was invited for special entertainment-- takes the ruby from Jeanie when the lights are removed that he may be able to tell her fortune. Richard chases the Hindu and gets the ruby back, thus proving himself worthy of Jeanie. Adaliza--Betty Lou Schnider-- friend of Jean- ie, sings WMy Old Kentucky Home,Uaccompan- ied by Melvin Jensen and John Mager on the banjo.
