To us you represent one of the finest investments of our work as Priests and Sisters. You stand at the threshold of adult life. The future before you is almost completely in your own hands. All the work, worry, care, and sacrifices of your good parents, your priests, and your teachers, will avail you little if you individually are not determined to live up to the high ideals of St. Gerard High School. We are confident that our work with you was well spent. Be assured that our love and our prayers will follow you always to assist you, that with God's grace, you will realize the promise that you show today of real Catholic man- hood and womanhood. May the love of the Good God be always in your hearts to make your lives happy and valuable. May Our Blessed Mother always be a Perpetual Help to you. May St. Gerard Majella, our parish patron, guard and protect you. Sincerely in Christ Rev. A.C. Billimek, C. Ss.R Your Pastor Our Prefer! Says Dear Graduate s , Today the time for which you have labored has come--today you leave as high school gradu- ates. Let me extend to you my heartiest congratulations over a task well done, and I tell you that I have watched with pride your day by day advancement in the things worthwhile: Your fre- quent reception of Holy Communion, your reliability and helpfulness, as well as your scholastic endeavors. Take these qualities with you into young adulthood, foster them, and I can assure you of success here and hereafter. E You must answer the challenge of a changing world. Let that answer be a strong faith, a spirit of self-sacrifice and of devotion to duty, and an unswerving adherence to principle. Only then will the world be effected by your answer. Throughout the long tedius, though interesting, course of your high school education, you have been prepared for the moments of discouragement and distress that will come. For such moments Christ has given us Himself in the Eucharist. Go to Him and you have nothing to fear. May our Blessed Mother always keep you looking up--up to Christ, her Divine Son. Yours in Christ, Rev. Luke F, Carrabine C. Ss. R. Your Prefect Shzculty sr' jf-15:19 L:-eq.. The Redernptorist Fathers gave special instructions to the students each Week. The instructors pictured here are: Father Luke Carrabine,School Prefect- Juniors, Father Alvin O. Billimek, Pastor -Seniors, Father Raymond Spitzer- Sophomores.
