Never in all history has the world been so widely and actively mobilized into two camps. Never has the issue been so clear or the op- portunity so urgent to vindicate the Christian and American ideal of freedom under God, based on man's inviolable dignity as a creature of God. Catholic education is not merely a particular brand of education of high quality, comparable to other good brands. It is an essentially distinct formation of char- acter after the pattern of Christ the Master, which naturally results in the finest ideal of freedom under God.
