5125011 .qbctffziofiifn Patriotism is nothing more than the application ol' the virtues of ustice and charity to our relations with our fellow citizens. Religion is the virtue which prompts us to pay our debt of homage to the Supreme Being and to love Him above all other beings. Second to the love of God is the love enjoined by the virtue ol' lilial piety: by the exercise ol' which, we fulfill our obligations to our parents. The third virtue is called amor patriaew or patriotism. It is the learned tendency to pay our debt ol' just service to our country, to share its riches with our coun- trymen, and to love our land and its people to the point where we will oller our lives in its delense. lVith this in mind, the educational leaders train the students, leaders of tomorrow. according to the sound doctrines of Faith and the unassail- able principles of Catholic Education, to accept their responsibilities as patriotic Christian gentlemen and leaders.
