In them is perfectly realized the purpose of Christian Education. They are the exemplars of Christian principles, the fruits of Christian train- ing. For the Saints did not renounce the activities of this life, they did not stunt their natural facultiesg but they developed and perfected them, by coordinating them with the supernatural. They thus ennobled what is merely natural in life and secured for it new strength in the material and temporal order, no less than in the spiritual and eternal. Under the particular patronage of Our Lady of Mercy, during our years at St. Gahriel's, we have been instructed no less in the arts and sciences than in the fundamentals of the true Christian character Mthat the life of Christ may be manifest in usi'-This hook is a link with those happy days now past.
