Oh, but what funl Finally the big event came on May 9, Chez Paris or paris by Starlight, the junior-senior prom Compliments came from all directions on decorations for this memorable occasion, which was truly enjoyed by all. This affair was talked about for quite some time. Then on May 16 we held the junior-senior banquet. W e fretted the seniors with cube steak and all the trimmings. We were relucted to see this year end for we had had such fun doing these activities in which we proved ourselves to be different. In the year of 1957 . . . We found ourselves faced with the fact that we were seniors in our last year at St. Frederick High. Our first duty was to put on a pep meeting for the game with Holy Cross. On October 19 we gave the freshmen a dance and, of course, an initiation. This was great fun! After re- ceiving cards in November, we settled down to study in effort to raise our marks. December 8 we were decked out for the first time in caps and gowns for the feast of the Immaculate Conception. December 9 we wore them again in our ring ceremony. We greeted the new year by giving a dance for the March of Dimes. A contest was held, Guess the Baby, to help raise more money. The total profit was 5140. On February 15 we sponsored Heart's Hop in which all proceeds went toward the ex- pense of the yearbook. The month of March was spent primarily on this project. During this period try-outs for the senior play and practice took place. Quality Street was performed on April Z7 and 28. Our attention and plans were next changed to the junior-senior prom and banquet during May. These are events that everyone enjoyed im- mensely. These two occasions put an unforgettable climax to our four years of high school life. Now that big step of graduation lies ahead. x.
