.syoclagrifri chap ay uifagfg an Since Sodalists are especially de- voted to Mary, they are recognized as a strong Catholic Action unit of the Mystical Body in their important threefold plan of sanctification of self, sanctification of others, and defense of the Church. Distributing baskets at Thanks- giving, entertaining hospital pa- tients at Christmas, and observing isrl i l Prefect Shirley Ogonowski novenas to Our Blessed Mother in May are just a few of the many year-round activities which the So- dalists plan. This year the Sodalists are concerned principally with a dio- cesan Sodality undertaking-con- tacting Catholic students in public high schools for a day of recollec- tion. All of these programs and many more, whether on a spiritual, intel- Iectual or apostolic plane, combine to take the Sodalist closer to her goal on the long road To Jesus through Mary . Heading the Apostolic-truth Committee, the Eucharistic-Marian Committee, the Publicity Committee and the Freshmen and Sopho- more Probationers in the Sodality are Cathy Roggero, Johanna Vargo, Marilyn McEvoy, Susan Rose and Toni Budicin.

Fulfilling her office very competently as presi- dent of the Cecilians is Cathy Roggero. 66 ecigand up Our melodious Cecilians are composed of selected voices from senior, junior, sophomore and freshmen classes. Among the Cecilians annual engagements are the Cecilian's concert, which occurs in the spring, and the singing of Christmas carols on Christmas Eve at Mission Inn. The group is also asked to sing for the Christmas program at school and for various civic functions. Late in November, the Cecilian's social event of the year, the spinster's spree, is held.
