This aspect of the curriculum has matured and is no longer simply endless lists of names, dates and places to be memorized. The goal of this department has shifted and now emphasis is on a firm understanding of the events which shape the course of mankind. Languages Develop Cultural, Linguistic Appreciation The room which houses the study of foreign language is a mental gymnasium. lt is herewhere students flex the muscles of their minds to master a second language. The barbells of this gymnasium range from declensions to conjugations. Just as physical dexterity is achieved in gym so is mental acuity achieved in language class by finding exactly the right idiom to express one's view clearly.
