Administration Seeks V' Mr. Richard Mattingly, Vice-Principal. -fy to Serve All ln every institution there exists a body which must exert control over its affairs and constituents. This is the Administration. At St. Francis this responsibility is invested in and ably handled by: Fr. Robert Healy, principal, with, Fr. Richard McLernan and Mr. Richard Mattingly, vice principals. The duties of their offices range from the concreteness of finances to the abstractness of student spiritual life. And, although the brunt of criticism concerning the state of the school falls on these men's shoulders, remember, in the words of Fr. McLernan, That was my first mistake. . , . Brennan: Religion l. to Live, to Grow A major goal of St. Francis is to prepare its students to live in a society which constantly challenges their basic moral beliefs. To succeed in the world today, a person must have more than a superficial understanding of his religion. The faculty here at St. Francis is dedicated to help students find where they are and how Christian ideals come into play in their life. ln religion class the greatest knowledge of all can be sought and, hopefully, attained. This knowledge concerns one's personal relationship with God and other people. 19'
